Boyup Brook - Canoeing
Canoeing along the Blackwood . . .
Only a handful of people have experienced the unique wonder of
paddling down a stretch of the Blackwood River in Boyup Brook. Most
of the year the river is suitable for beginner canoeists and young
children. The peaceful stretches that meander through farming
country allow you to drink in the magnificent flora and bird life
on and along the river.
Take a picnic and stop off along the way. For the more adventurous,
the river and surrounds are suitable for longer treks that
incorporate camping at various spots along the way. Different
sections of the river have been marked off to allow you to chose a
suitable canoe trip. Refer to maps that are available at the
Tourist Centre. Canoe hire is available at the Flax Mill Recreation
Complex.

Canoe's can be hired from the Boyup Brook Flax Mill Caravan Park $9.00 per canoe per hour. Life Jackets supplied. (Half price for schools).
